Kenny Rogers (Velocity)

ED: I headed over to Velocity with fellow foodie Jeanine for waittt for it – BASKIN ROBBINS media invites grand opening! But we were early and hungry so we hiked escalators and scouted around for dinner. We were debating over a few choices. We checked out Salad Stop first, but the whole shop was GREEN in colour! Can you imagine? That made me stop and turn around it actually made me feel sick and not wanna eat my veggies anymore. We then headed to Subway(again for the 3rd time in a week) when suddenly i caught a whiff of Kenny Rogers roasted chicken which was one level up and that closed the case.

Look sponge bob wants a muffin!

We both shared half a roasted chicken and had potato salad and mac and cheese for sides. They served us a butter corn muffin each which had a nice sweet corn flavor but wasn’t moist enough.

The chicken arrived quickly and naturally i took the upper half giving the nicer half to the lady Jeanine. (act nice only actually i wanted the upper half heheh) The chicken was surprisingly tender and moist! Even for the breast meat which usually tends to be overcooked. But not at this Kenny Rogers. The skin was well marinated with rosemary and black pepper and was really tasty! Great chicken, compared to the outlet i tried at Great World City.(which was not as good) The potato salad was delicious with a tang from peppers, onion with some mustard and vinegar in the mayonnaise. The mac and cheese was warm cheesy and comforting. Overall a satisfying meal. Now for dessert! – To be continued.
